Ok ,
Apologies all for my laziness / business over the last few weeks , but I haven’t forgotten about this and I still want to Go ahead.I’d like to Propose we have an initial meeting one evening 1st 2nd 3rd 4th or 5th of May.
If every one could check their Diaries and confirm availability around these dates I’ll go and get us a room in the City centre for an amenable time . Once we fix a date I’ll Mail everyone with the details and we can go and start the first ever official filmmakers Co-operative type club thing in Cork ……
The initial meeting would be to
Vote on the constitution / rules of the club
Vote on Officers of the Club
Set out an agenda for fundraising
Figure out the membership fee.To make the thing fully official I think we should have a nominal membership fee ( 1€) that we all put in the Kitty on the night, and once we have an insurance policy ready to go ( hopefully within a month of forming the club ) we’ll have a better idea of annual membership. I think we might be able to start somewhere around the 50€ mark and see how it goes for the first year.

Slight twist on this for you Oisin,
How’s about splitscreen / intercut , same room two party’s one modern one old days, Both parties are a slightly dull affair with little conversation until the Host bring out the Doritos , ( in Both times ) and both parties kick off ,
Host turns to camera and he’s a "dorian grey" type ( perhaps his portrait is on the wall behind) and Says , It’s always the best way to start the party
If it makes sense , he’s straddling both times ( Not sure what’s the best way to edit between the two times , but what you want is some sense like "sliding doors" or , that lame sandra bullock keanu reeves one ( that I didn’t see but I’m sure they used some device )
You could also make him a Vampire , but I like the Dorian Grey better.

Anyways , we’ll see what can be done , at the least I’ll go for a pint with ya on Saturday night while you cry over not having everything .
Steadycam types of shoots are very difficult to organise quickly , it’s a skill in itself to use em properly,
Actors and actresses almost impossible to get on such short notice.
A for sale sign I might have in my backyard , although it might have gone in the skip last year .
Maybe we can find one Saturday night after a few pints ……Good luck !!

Right maybe I’ll get this in today .
Once you’ve melted the creative juices and come up with some stuff I wouldn’t mind shooting a pilot sketch show, to see if we can get it commissioned and run with it . If ye’re interested that is .
