    I know you!!!!!
Hi Lorraine! Good website/forum no? Hopefully we can work together someday, perhaps a sequel to the animated short you did remember? If I ever do my own proper project, can I assume you’ll be DOP??

Agreed. I left the cinema feeling disappointed. The plot’s ability to evoke any sort of empathy or excitement is diluted by the sheer number of characters, events and not to mention those cringe-worthy moments, of which there are many e.g. Peter Parker strutting around a la Saturday Night fever. The mix of sincerity and emotion in this film with the out of place tongue-in-cheek moments (which fail to be funny) fails miserably, and with a budget like that, they could have got a much greater script.
As regards special fx and action, nothing new here really, especially considering the last blockbuster I saw was 300!
Some people have almost desperately said this was a good, solid story, but just compare it to the likes of Batman Begins.

    5/10

Hey, I wouldn’t turn down a role, if you thought i was suitable. Any part with a character who is; (a) Disabled mentally or physically (b) Gay (c) struggling with a disease? I’m really hoping for an oscar this year…

as for the skateboard wheels, Dan’s right get soft wheels. Otherwise you will pick up toomuch bumps and vibrations. In skate videos, cameramen always use these soft wheels.
Try Tubes in the matthews centre, Half Moon Street. Also it’s important to get good bearings, maybe abec 5 or above, especially if you have extra weight.

Hi. I know i probably wouldn’t ever be needed, I have editing and filming experience. I have worked with Wildacre productions on numerous shoots (though none were of films, mostly promos etc.), and I have amateur editing experience, Final Cut (recently), and iMovie.

Just thought I’d get that out there, just in case the 3,450 better editors living in the Cork area were suddenly MIA… <img loading=” title=”Cool” />

Hi all, my name is Emmet. (see the c.v. section of forum for my details etc.)
I just wanna say to Dan and Sean and whoever else is responsible for this that I really admire what you are doing. I think this is the beginning of something great for up and comers in Cork.
This is exactly what I would wish to see happen, since normally the world of film production, especially casting is very closed off and insular. This is the best way possible to set up a community in Cork where everyone can hopefully get the oppportunity to be part of a production.

    Good stuff fellas, fair doooooooooz!!
