    Hi,

I wouldn’t mind helping out some way- do you have a script/general outline of the idea to look at?Thanks.

    Hey,

I’d be interested in this – I definitely like writing comedy sketches (or trying to write them I should say), and the idea of a getting a group together to make a series of sketches sounds good. I’m big Monty Python fan and I think it works a lot better if the people writing&brainstorming the sketches actually act in them/direct them..sometimes it’s hard to explain what sort of comic tone you’re after to someone’s who’s outside the whole project. Apart from writing, I do have a camera, and I’ve filmed some shorts, and basically I’m willing to take part/help in all areas.

Let me know anyway if meeting up about this sure. I’ve attached the only 2 sketch type things I seem to be able to locate on my computer at the moment. Think the school reunion one is already posted in the writers section.

ah shoot! you would have been good for the part alright..but the deadlines the 29th and we never managed to make it last weekend cos we’d not enough of us to act and stuff. hmm.er….can anyone think of other use for a short slightly shabby but funny version of "Once"…so we have a reason to make it?

    Hey,

We’re going to try and hold another audition this saturday (the 1st) at 3pm over in front of the clarion hotel (a closer location this time!). We’ll meet at the entrance to clarion. If people who are coming along could let me know that’d would be good.

    thanks,

    Fiona

    Hi all

We’re going to hold auditions this Saturday (23rd) at 11am in Fitzgeralds park. If everyone who’s interested in the film could let me know whether or not they can make it, that’d be great. We can change to another time to suit people if needs be. Thanks

I saw it at film fest..thought it was excellent. Didn’t think Oh Brother Where art thou was all that great, this was much more like the Coen brothers I like. And Javier Bardem is the best psycho killer character I’ve seen in ages. Apparently the book is meant to be a bit meandering and sparse on punctuation but seemingly thats the way Cormac McCarthy writes. I’m going to have a read anyways…

cheers! yeah there won’t be too many of us and it’ll prob be early morning so I reckon we won’t get in way. I’ll enquire with the shops/hotel etc cos they’ll be visible.

I should have really introduced myself here first..but..instead I barged in on another thread looking for actors.

Anyway,..thank god someone set up some sort of cork based film forum/site. Thanks! I’m Fiona, ex student of UCC as of one year, interested in almost anything to do with being involved in filmmaking..though..ahem..not exactly skilled. Trying to make a film at the moment, hence the actor related post…once I find them, I think I should be set to make the thing. It’s hard to find actors, usually where I get stuck with films. If I could somehow morph into persons of varying ages and appearances..that would be handy, as I could hire myself. Oh well.
