I’d Like to try HDCam if I could afford it ,

Some of my favorite TV shows and Movies ( cinematography wise) of the last few years have been
HDCam shot .

I Just like the sharpness detail and richness, I think it forces you to think more about the composition of the shot and in that way is improving the way
cinematographers approach their film. So yeah for a ten minute short with a bit of money I’d try HDCAM

That said I’d nearly push that decision to last when budgeting , Script the film , Work out what you want to do visually , cost that physically , then apply the cost of the format for capturing it . then see what impact changing the format up or down will have on all the other things .

I suppose I’m trying to say make the best movie you can regardless of how you capture it . Rather than committing to a format in advance of the prep.

The Audience top 5 has been announced and the Jury selection of ten shortlisted Finalists is also there

Unfortunately none of the egomotion films made it in there but the competition was quite stiff ,

I’ve worked on Several Films this year (06) with Dan and members of the egomotion Forum.
Distracted ( short for Robbie Williams Competition)
Class Party ( Short for Robbie Williams Competition )
Voices ( short with egomotion )
Woods ( acting/blood and whinging about the Rain!! – egomotion)

I’ve written a few short scripts and hope to shoot one in the new year.
I’m developing a fascination with camera ( See distracted on the Robbie Williams Site )
I do me best to sort things out , ‘cos that’s what a producer does innit , sorts things out like !

I like it a lot esp. because it ‘s free.

Good planning tool as well.

Me and Dan are using it to develop our Feature script ( when we get time that is ) because it has good collaborative features.

enjoyed it immensely and bonding was great .

Didn’t win it though , but still enjoyed it.

Got to go home now , the wife is waiting on the chicken !!
