    Glad to have you.
If you look under the banner at the top of the page you will see the user control panel. Go in there and select user groups. Then click on the Red Carrot comedy group select button and go down to the bottom of the page and press select. I will then be notified that you want acess and i can okay it. Simple eh. There are a good selection of scripts in our little section. Please reand and comment freely on any or all of them. Looking forward to reading some of your ideas to.

Hi, just read your script. It’s certainly well written and thought out. One thing I will say however is that I get given out to all the time for my scripts having too much dialog. Yours reads more like a stage play rather than a screen play. I’m not saying that’s bad I’m just pointing it out because a lot of other people might say the same thing. In my opinion there is an over emphasis on using images to tell a story through the medium of the screen. I think Reservoir Dogs is a good example of bucking the trend but that came out a long time ago now and few films have followed its lead. Still for what its worth I’d like to see your piece when its finished. As for crew I’m afraid I’m just a writer and you seem to have that ground well covered all ready.
    Good luck

Hi, I’m new to all this and have no experience but I can offer and help with moving stuff or anything else you need. I want to get on a few shoots and see how things work. As I’m self employed I can be free any time as long as I have a week or so notice.
Let me know when and where and I’ll be there

Well you’re certainly getting the hang of this. That was very nicely shot. Clear and crisp.

What sort of camera are you using.

HI Emmet i just finished watching your short.
I laughed. There is certainly a Monty Python feel to it.
    Or perhaps the Goonies.
    Good stuff.

Thanks for getting on to me.
Firstly I would like to say that the response to setting up the group has been absolutely fantastic. There are a lot of different people from all across the country and all with a diverse range of talents coming together for this. I really think a solid group can be formed and I see a lot of future projects together.
You are of course welcome. The first meeting is next Sunday the 13th in Kildare. If you can make it that would be great but if you can’t, don’t sweat it. I’ll keep you informed of events. Drop me a liner at hanman100@hotmail.com
I look forward to seeing what you did on you tube later today.

    Oisin,
All opinions and skills will be needed so you are more than welcome to come along.
Send me your e-mail address so I can add you to the contacts list would you. It makes it a lot easier for me to send messages to everyone at the same time. And if you could include where you will be coming from and how you are getting to the meeting that would be great. A bit of car pooling and collection from train stations would be very helpful.

Okay so here it is, the first meeting of Red Carrot Productions (Working title). The gathering for all things and all people Comedic. Bring your scripts, ideas for scripts, ideas about ideas for scripts but most of all bring yourselves.
Alright, besides the silliness I just want to say that I am delighted with the response I’ve had to the idea of setting up this group and I hope as many of you as possible who are interested can make this first meeting.

The Agenda will be pretty simple; mainly focusing on what it is we want to achieve and how we are going to go about achieving it. With regards to scripts; by all means bring a few copies of them along to pass around but remember I don’t know how much time we will be able to devote to any one script at the time. What’s most important first is that we get a feel for what it we are going to be dealing with and who can do what.

The date of the Meeting is Sunday, the thirteenth of April, that’s two Sundays from now and it will be held in the, Silken Thomas Pub, on the main street of Kildare town at 1pm. I’ve got us a room and there will be tea and sandwiches served.

A word of warning; if I have to drink all the tea and eat all the sandwiches myself, expect a visit from a large angry man, and if my dad can’t make it, I can.

Between now and then I may pop the odd question out there to you as I build up the agenda. But for the most part I hope to keep the meeting pretty simple.

Thanks again to all who have shown an interest and remember this could very well be the first step to a life of fame and fortune for all, so chins up, trousers down and flash your arse to as many people as you can on the trip up.

    Hanman aka Aaron.

    Hi Decbond.

Glad you liked the sketch. If I can get it together there would be a series of those sketches, as the PRESENTER follows the teenager around, doing the things that teenagers do
    .
The first meeting will be on a Sunday in mid April. I will be setting the exact date by the middle of next week
    .
What I need you to do is e-mail me at hanman100@hotmail.com so that I can add you to the contacts list.

Here’s the first part of another sketch series that I’m working on at the moment.
Let me know what you think.
