Smiling SadlyMember
Thanks guys. I’ve a really good dop who works mainly in TV – so he’s quick too!
Smiling SadlyMemberWell, it didn’t win, and there weren’t any other prizes so the short answer is not very well!
Ah well, it’s still another film on the showreel!Smiling SadlyMemberi should have clarified, a dublin based short film maker has announced their film is showing, making me think there’s been a change of tact and they’ve contacted filmmakers directly.
And that I prob didn’t get in then!Smiling SadlyMemberSomeone has posted on Twitter that their film is showing.
Smiling SadlyMemberHey Eoin, not sure if I can help but best of luck with it. Sounds like it could be great.
I’m a line producer, writer/director and location manager based in Dublin. I’ve worked professionally in the industry since 1997.
Any luck with Filmbase?
Smiling SadlyMemberMy film Tart is showing too. If it’s screening at the weekend too I’ll make it – I’m working in Dublin during the week so wouldn’t make a Thursday/Friday screening unfortunately. ” title=”Sad” />
Smiling SadlyMemberWelcome Frank ” title=”Razz” />
I’ve already put 140 on the blog
http://egomotion.net/blog/Smiling SadlyMemberHey Dan,
I’d be interested in posting on that. I have 2 blogs already, and am a twitter addict. Help me get my fix ” title=”Smile” />Smiling SadlyMemberHey Sean,
thanks for that. I figured as much but it’s nice to be reassured!

Has it got any airplay yet?[/quote:3pnh9730]Song is just being released – I believe it has Fanning’s Last Broadcast, Channel 6 and Channel South lined up so far – their manager had this lined up before the vid was even finished (she’s good!!).

I’ve applied to volunteer for the festival but I definitely want to get to all the workshops that I can. Are the places for workshops limited, do ya need to book like? Any idea what the prices are like?[/quote:9dafa]You generally do need to book.
I think the selling shorts one was 50 euros last year…

Smiling SadlyMemberWell done Sean,
will hopefully get to see it myself depending on when it’s on. ” title=”Very Happy” />Smiling SadlyMember"Irishfan":53a64 wrote:Hi DanThank you so much, that is so cool. I think this will help me with the script as I wanted to incorporate a time shift from the original village (1600’s) through to the present day at 100 year intervals.

I filmed in Bunratty a couple of years ago and they were looking for approc 1100 euro a day and the minimum amount of interference to the park’s guests possible. I was the poor auld location manager who had to negotiate with them!
Looked great though.
The film was called ‘An Diog is Faide’ or ‘The Longest Ditch’ in english.
Smiling SadlyMemberWon’t be long now – theyve started listing selected shorts – only international shorts to date
