I just thought that some of you might be interested in taking a look at the Underground Cinema website http://www.underground-cinema.com
Underground Cinema is a monthly access program based in Dun Laoghaire. The program showcases on the big screen short films and interviews with filmmakers. Due to decreasing funds for the arts, this showcase is needed to support short filmmakers and keep this medium alive. Underground Cinema provides this need by showing these works to an audience who would normally not have access to such films.
We’ve been running the screening for the past three months, with our fourth screening coming up on December 17th and they have been hugely successful.
If anyone is interetsed in sending us a short you can log on to our website and fill out an application form. As soon as I receive your application I’ll be in touch as soon as I can
