    Announcing a Gala Evening.
Rebelz Picturz Debut with Premiere of First Film ‘The O’Herne Identity.’
Rebelz Picturz the newly formed Cork film company are proud to announce the premier screening of their first film; an action comedy entitled ‘The O’Herne Identity’. A freak accident involving Chronic Masturbatory Syndrome and radioactive waste leaves our Cork hero “Jack O’Herne” with the super-human ability to shoot acid from his body. His initial ignorance of his ‘lethal weapon’ results in the accidental death of his girlfriend, “Niamh”. The CIA attempt to extract his power but, during his incarceration, Jack hones his skills and escapes. To recapture him they hire a consultant, code name “Nemesis,” whose ultimate motive is to avenge the death of the love of his life, Niamh, whom Jack stole. Can Jack evade, out manoeuvre and outsmart the Cork office of the CIA? Does the CIA really have a secret headquarters under Shandon bells? Find out Friday October 8th 7.30pm at the Crane Lane Theatre.

Promising a Gala Evening the Rebelz crew are inviting the public to ‘dress for the red carpet’, and join them for a sensational evening of celebration. The company announce their existence to the world, with this new short film, which has a definite ‘made in Cork’ stamp on it. This is set to be a memorable event of music, film and many, many surprises. Come meet the writer Michael Linehan, or find out first hand from the actors what it is like to be part of Rebelz Picturz.

Director Yvonne Coughlan says that ‘this production has been a tremendous example of teamwork; our entire cast and crew were creative, inspirational and hard working, our composers unique and dynamic, and not least of all, the team includes the Cork city and county businesses who generously supported us; The River Lee Hotel, The Clarion, Blue Star Helicopters, The Armada Bar, The Roundy, In for Lunch, and I could go on because we have a very long list of credits, but you can see for yourself on Friday the 8th. Long live Rebelz Picturz!
