So it was all a bit of a whirlwind. Big thanks to Stephen O’Connor and Valerie Hely for helping me out with this. And to Dan O’Connell whose house we used for the final shot.
‘The Driving Test’ is a short film which I wrote there about 6 weeks ago, and filmed on Sunday 8th March with Valerie and Stephen. What a day to film! Sun, rain, wind – actually it kind of suited the theme of the film.
It is a simple short, about a driving test gone wrong. It was shot on a Panasonic PV-GS400 with a Rode NTG2 mic. The idea was to shoot a one minute short, but I am having trouble keeping it to one minute due to the great performances of the actors and the lovely shots we achieved on the day.
Editing is being done as we speak. I’ll keep ye posted!

Post production is complete! I am well pleased with how the film has turned out. Now I got to look to the festivals…
