Calling All Filmmakers! New Deadline For Signatures Scheme Announced
The deadline for Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board’s flagship short film scheme SIGNATURES has been announced. Applications will now be accepted until Friday, September 21st.
SIGNATURES is a short film scheme for the making of live-action, fiction films that act as a proving-ground for Irish creative talents which aims to encourage strong, original storytelling, visual flair, and production values appropriate to the big screen.
Previous Signature shorts include Foxes which was officially selected for this years SXSW and Tribeca film festivals, Two Hearts which has received a nomination for the European Film Awards and Pentecost which was nominated for an Academy Award earlier this year.
The scheme is an opportunity for producers, directors and writers to work in a professional environment that will allow them to further their experience.
We actively encourage submissions in Irish as films for this scheme can be produced in either the English or Irish language. The successful short films will premiere at the Corona Cork Film Festival next year.
All applications for the scheme should be sent with the reference REF: SIGNATURES on the envelope to:

Tá áthas ar Bord Scannán na hÉireann iarratais a lorg don chéad bhabhta eile den scéim rathúil SIGNATURES. Is é an spriocdháta nua ná: an Aoine 21ú Meán Fómhair.
Tá sé mar aidhm ag an scéime SIGNATURES scéalaíocht láidir, nuálaíoch a spreagadh chomh maith le cumas físe agus luachanna léirithe atá oiriúnach don mhórscáileán. Tairgíonn an scéim an deis chomh maith do léiritheoirí; stiúrthóirí saothrú i gcomhshaol proifisiúnta a thabharfaidh gné breise don taithí atá acu.
Is féidir na scannáin a dhéanamh i nGaeilge nó i mBéarla.
