The timing of your question is great! I just burned off the first DVD last night. It isn’t 100% finished, but it’s almost there. So I am going to try get a showing at one of the future shorts nights coming up soon, and once I get a reaction there I’ll make the final changes! But it is looking good. We’ll have it up on line really soon.
Does anyone know how much it costs to convert a film to digi-beta? Channel 6 require this format for broadcast, and we’d really like to send them this video.
Cheers!
nope, cork film centre don’t transfer to digi beta, just beta which is different, I think paraic knows someone who does it in cork but he’s away off in Dublin today.
try eddie noonan or emma of frameworks films.. not sure if he does it himself..i think he might have a beta deck instead of digibeta…worth a try though, 021 4322454, you’d probably have to provide the tape yourself
Just to keep ye up to date with this – the editing is done and we are working on putting a widescreen version up on youtube and Valerie’s myspace site.
Copies of the video have been sent to Cork Film Fest, Darklight, Futureshorts and Channel 6.
That’s where things stand at the moment!
Thanks again to everyone involved.
