There’s going to be a Flashmob on Patrick’s Street this Saturday the 14th, at 13:30. Anyone interested in participating check out this site[/url:1jlv0yz4], email letmrblueskyin@gmail.com or check out the Facebook page[/url:1jlv0yz4].
As many YouTube videos will testify a Flashmob is nothing without some cameramen. I’m looking to get as many cameras as possible on the day to catch this event from loads of different angles.
We’re aiming for 500 people, which would make this the largest flashmob in Ireland. RTÉ and TV3 have been asked to attend but I personally believe that the local film-makers can get the best footage.
Anyone who’s on for it leave a reply here or send me a PM.
Thanks,
Eoin.November 10, 2009 at 6:46 pm #5923Eoin O hAMemberAnyone who fancies winning next year’s Made In Cork can get to the Savoy at half 7 tomorrow night for the rehearsals and make a documentary about the whole thing. ” title=”Very Happy” />
November 11, 2009 at 9:15 am #5924SeanBreathnachKeymasterHey Eoin,
that’s a great idea! I’d love to film it myself but I’ll be in Dublin this weekend. I’m guessing you’ll have plenty of interest though. ” title=”Very Happy” />www.seanbreathnach.com

I wouldn’t mind doing that. ” title=”Very Happy” />
Maybe i could team up with Dan? Work together?
November 12, 2009 at 3:05 pm #5930Eoin O hAMemberCool Páraic. We’ll be between Academy Street and Winthrop Street. Are yourself and Dan making a documentary?
Adrian, that’s yours so. I’ll get onto Michael and sort the collection of the camera.
I’m heading into town now to talk to businesses on Patrick’s Street and will be trying to sort as many vantage points as possible for cameras. There’s another rehearsal in the Savoy at half 10 on Saturday morning so if we could meet there we can sort who’s going where.
Thanks to all!
November 12, 2009 at 5:47 pm #5931DanMemberSounds good Adrian,
As for documentary, we’ll shoot a few more interviews and see what comes out of it, whether it’ll be just a viral or an actual doc remains to be seen really..
See you all on Saturday morning them 10.30
November 12, 2009 at 6:27 pm #5932Eoin O hAMemberCool Dan. If you want me to sort any interviews for you I can. Probably best to do them afterwards as people are up the walls but we might catch a few on the day.
It was Pat Kiernan’s idea so maybe catching him for a quick chat on Patrick’s Street would be good.
November 12, 2009 at 7:59 pm #5933DanMemberalready grabbed him last night, might be nice to interview a few of the participants, and maybe a recap again from pat after the event when the adrenaline is up to ninety.
November 12, 2009 at 10:41 pm #5934Eoin O hAMemberYou’re way ahead of me Dan. Others who helped sort it were Julie Kelleher, Cormac O’Conner, Síle Ní Bhroin, Kath Geraghty, Geraldine O’Neill, Deirdre Dwyer, Fin Flynn and myself, so I’d expect any of those would help you out. The participants will make for the most interesting interviews though I’d say.
There’s a march for the arts on at 2pm from Daunt Square. Since ye’ll already be in town maybe ye should cover that too? ” title=”Very Happy” />
