I’m currently in the process of putting together an online magazine, called The Stub: http://thestubonline.com which will focus on film and also what’s happening in Cork with regards to film-making. I would love to report on any short films that are currently being made or that are already made, so if u are a film-maker, drop me an e-mail and let me know what your film is about, how you came up with the idea, how you went about making it etc. Any onset photos would be great too! ” title=”Smile” /> I’m hoping that the site, like the egomotion site, can promote Cork film-making and spread the word about up and coming projects etc. Hopefully it will also make more peep aware about the egomotion forums so that film-makers, actors and editors will be able to find each other! Thanks to egomotion for helping me to get this up and running btw!
And if anyone is interested in writing about film, be it film reviews or anything else, let me know! It’ll be a chance to see ur name in print..or online at least!October 1, 2007 at 8:59 pm #3494philipMemberHawthorn Film Productions[/color:47e8f]
Philip A. McCarthy is a emerging Actor, director and writer keen to explore multiple avenues of creativity
" The Vein Within " is his first feature film and it’s currently in pre-production. The screen writer
is no stranger to the theme of drug addiction having sustained his own rehabilitation in contrast to
the way that many of his friends did not. This Film will be a replete with the iconography of
substance dependence but also engenders the hope that must survive " one day at a time " Philip
say’s of the production, it’s been a personally emotional experience to write this screen play, and
my intention was to get across the way in which life is so easily destroyed-individual lives and the
Life’s of people close by from the minute people become involved with heroin and cocaine.
I’ve been fortunate to find a way to live life well, but character’s in this feature film don’t.
" The Vein Within " is a film for the modern times that refuses to pull it’s punches but which
also indicates that life can be restored in the bleakest places, it’s a film that should not be
missed !!! Anyone intrested in being in this film can contact……..
