as Chariots of Fire, Memphis Belle, The Mission and War of
the Buttons;David Puttnam will be giving a talk on his career,
achievements, and all things film followed by a Q&A session.[b:3cckq8t4]The Gresham Metropole Hotel, Cork

Lord David Puttnam is best known as the producer of such prestigious films as The
Mission (Won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 1986), Bugsy
Malone, Chariots of Fire (Oscar for best picture), War of the Buttons
(Made in Ireland) and The Killing Fields (The film won three Oscars, and himself Puttnam won a BAFTA and was nominated for an Oscar).
He will talk about his path to becoming a film producer as well as how
filmmaking has changed and evolved.
Puttnam maintains a home in West Cork, dividing his time between Co Cork
and London.Moving Image Cork was founded by Moira O’ Brien and is a members club for filmmakers.
It gives a support network to all those with an interest in creative video, documentary and short filmmaking.
New members are always welcome and no experience is necessary. We meet every second thursday.
We invite new members along to any fortnightly meeting,
