KC12 Jib Crane test Shots

managed to get the crane up and running today…a little bit more tweaking and practice and we’ll be laughin’.
hopefully the track will take the weight.

Did you get a monitor for it as well ?

yep, but get this, its component-phono so i’ll have to daisy chain the phonos to reach the monitor, then convert via BNC connectors to the monitor, which has a handy mounting clamp in fairness..
sorry aint been around to meet up with ye, dying of flu past 2 days, sleeping lots.
more video to follow…gonna put it on the dolly and find a hall and props for display purposes.

Get a long one made up, Shielded is best and will last ya longer . !!

I’m putting together a DVD over the next week or so including step by step assembly, test shots, dolly crane manoevres if possible.

sean, ya no prob, itll go S-Video too…where would I get that wire made up? the signal should be fairly reliable over connectors no?

if you mount the camera West-East instead of North-South too you can get nice tilts and rolls..music videos like

Maplin should be able to do it

S Video is fairly crap tbh I’d avoid it . But the Component to BNC should be cool.

I too am suffering with the flu – that’s what a week of films, booze and fast food will do I suppose – but I reckon standing outside the Triskel in the rain with you and Dan on Sunday was the last straw not to mention getting to bed at 4 that morning after a selection of bottled beer!

twas all good on the proc kev, i just hope you forgot that conversation i had with gill and yerself in the smoking room. are ya gettin a trophy or something from the south africans, or dare i say, cash??
havent tried the xlr yet paddy, no mic…hopefully ill get a chance to test it when gef kane starts shooting again. thanks again for that mate.
