Check it out ego-heads – The British Academy of Film & Television Arts has launched a new short film competition – 60 Seconds of Fame, inviting filmmakers to submit a 60 second short based on the theme ‘Celebrate’.

The BAFTA comp is open to filmmakers over the age of 16. Shortlisted films will be screened through BBC Nations and Regions and will be published on the Orange website. A public vote will decide the finalist from each region and the overall winner will be announced at The Orange British Academy Film Awards on the 11 February 2007. Their film will feature in the BBC broadcast of the ceremony.

The ‘Celebrate’ theme has been chosen to reflect BAFTA’s 60th birthday and Orange’s 10 year partnership with the Academy. Full info about the competition can be found on http://www.orange.co.uk/bafta.
