I’ve used Celtx for years now – it’s the best (free) scriptwriting software out there. VLC Player is by far the best generic video player – plays almost any format. MPEG Streamclip is great for ripping videos and Gimp is a very handy Photoshop alternative. The rest I’ve yet to acquaint myself with. Have you used any of the others? Anything you’d personally recommend?
